Yep, and there not even for him. They're for his 3 kids. 3 are for everyday driving, and two are for the drag strip.

About the McLaren F1, it probably does low- to mid-11s, just like other people have posted. But what I'm more curious about is the even more limited-production McLaren F1 LM. BMW engineers worked on the engine a bit more and brought the hp from 627 to 668 (though some claim 680). To put things into perspective, the McLaren F1 could do 0-60mph in around 3.2 seconds, and 0-100mph in a bit over 6/under 7 seconds. When the F1 LM was first completed, engineers claimed it was capable of 0-60mph in under 3 seconds, and 0-100mph in under 5. However, it was geared specifically for acceleration, so its theoretical top speed was lowered from 231 to 225. (Think of like how changing compression ratio sometimes indirectly changes horsepower and torque, especially in four-cylinders.) So I would guess that it should do 9s, or at least well into the 10s with a good driver who knows how to drive those beasts. (Imagine the trap speed!)

Unfortunately, there are very few F1s (just around 70, give or take a few) and even fewer F1 LMs (5) in the world. As a result, only a few road tests have taken place. Motor Trend got their hands on a McLaren F1 LM and got to have some fun with it. But since most owners probably keep their F1s in the garage and rarely let them see the light of day, I'm assuming that that specific F1 LM didn't have enough miles on it to have been properly broken in (hence the "slow" 0-60mph time of 3.9 seconds). However, in that car they did break the 0-100-0mph time on every test run. So just imagine how unbelievably fast that car would've been if properly worn in after 1,000 miles.

As a side note, Wyclef Jean (of the rap group The Fugees) and Ralph Lauren both own McLaren F1s.
