No offense taken......Yeah I know when I said that "I knew it was built" it sounded cheesey, but was the car was quick or fast (whatever you want to say). Yes I was obviously in the wrong gear also to have a run at it.. I'll chalk it up to experience. If I run into him again (I've seen the car a couple of other times) I'll see if I can talk to him and let you know.

An SRT4 with just the dealer stage 2 package with goodies (can't remember what it's called) is incredibly fast from a roll. Been there and done that. For the money, they are probably the best power bargain out there.

stage 2 with "toys" (ic sprayer, 3 level boost controller incabin and race fuel switch) on drag radials will go mid 12s at over 110. and put 280+ to the ground. with the usual bolt ons added as well.

u just never know how fast one will be from the other. they can average mid 14s to low 11s.

So running someone from a roll, I don't know if the SPT would have helped?
I ran the SPT intake on my 06 using a Cobb STage 2 OTS map and then threw the stocker back on. Stocker FTW in every situation except for the neat-o noises. The inner ricer in me missed the noise.

I know what you mean by missing the noise......Since that statement I have put the SPT intake back on and an having a hard time the telling the difference anymore..Each time (switching back and forth) I did reset the ECM....Since I work 3rd shift I mainly drive at night/early mornings so the IATs are a lot lower than if I was working other shifts. So maybe that is why I am having I hard time telling the difference anymore....By the way I like the Avatar....That is what we used to call my father....

I didn't think stg. 2 SRTs ran 110+ traps. My buddies stg. 2 with toys ran 106-108 traps...not sure if that was on race fuel or not though...

it all depends on alot of things. air/fuel vs knock. the pcm is very picky when it comes to that. so a splash a 100oct will go a long way even with out the race gas map. on my complete bolt on setup i trapped 114.

...until the new WRX comes out...same power, but at 11 psi. How about that.

It will likely have the same response to mods potential as the Legacy does, which means the SRT4 will still be faster when dollar for dollar mods are compared. By quite a ways actually.

yeah, saw one of the first tv tests on it from edmunds.com it went 14.7 in the quarter and was slower in the salom but a tad better in breaking. they also stated tho it was marginaly slower all over it felt way softer, squishery (sp?) and was over all not as fun to drive,.
