    What's faster?

My fiance's mom has an 07 solstice gxp and she loves to race it around town. I've seen her at stoplights in my F150 and obviously she kick's my truck's booty. I'm looking at a stock 02 wrx - would she still be able to kill me? She's automatic.

I think the question you really need to ask is, do you really want to be beating your future mother-in-law in a race?

I didnt think about that, but still - ya I'd like to beat her. I think her car's just so small it would be faster.

That should kill a stock bugeye/blobeye - might be close off the line thanks to the AWD, heck you might even pull for a bit, but it won't take long for the GXP to slingshot past.

cool thanks. I was afraid of that. She'll try to race me anyway, but I think I'll just kick back when she's around. Micah, do you have pics of your car? I read your mod list and just wanted to check it out.

Just talk to her this winter and see who's enjoying their car more. RWD or AWD...

I know that'll make me happy, plus I have room to sit in the car! Plus having a back seat will come in handy. And I'm more of an import driver anyway.

I've heard their pretty quick and I like the way the look. If they came in a coupe and not just a convertible I might have gotten one.

I watched her go up a huge hill and got to the top before I was halfway in my heavy a$$ F150 5.4 v8. They look pretty cool. She's actually in Germany for the next 3 weeks - maybe I can sneek a drive

I've driven a Saturn Sky Redline, which is basically a Solstice GXP with slightly different sheetmetal, and it's way quicker than a stock WRX. Very fun driving car. 8) Maybe not quite at STi levels tho.

Do us all a favor: work on learning how to drive your car before adding more power. Pretty please.

Lol, that is why the WRX and all AWD cars exist. Snow. It is also why the most popular regions for Subarus are New England, the Pacific Northwest and the Lake Tahoe/Mountain regions.

If I lived down south I'd be driving something RWD like a Corvette or an S2000.

Yep, they're very common in the mountains of NC, as well, for the same reasons.
