    Mustang GT500

after dropping my girlfriend off at work i was on my way home when i see a red mustang swerving in and out of traffic... next i see the cobra emblem in the grill and the nice looking hood. so we both roll onto 15, not much traffic but enough where we had to be in the same lane. He was in front and took off first from 30, i was in 2nd but the way he pulled you would think i was in 5th... or even reverse

That sucker was fast and sounded good, he toyed with me a bit when i caught up to him and was a real cool older guy.

Yeah, I like those new GT500 Shelby Cobras. The dealers are marking them up $20,000.00. I actually thought of buying one until the dealer quoted me a price of $65,000.00. 45k I could do, but a 20k "just because I feel like" mark up.... HELL NO!!!

I don't know what your mods are, but assuming you're anywhere close to stock, I'm not surprised it walked away from you. They have what, about twice the horsepower of a WRX? Even with the weight difference that's a big horsepower advantage.

yeah the gt500s are heavy over priced cows. for the money the z06 will get my vote hand down. but....... just like the last gen cobra the car is very very choked up. some serious power can be made with simple add ons. 9s on the stock blower has already bin achieved in a full interior car.

I ran into one on 795 being I guess test driven or recently bought. I guess the new owner felt rather good about taking his brand new car up to 100+ mph as my Subaru was left in the dust doing 65. I love getting beside people with HP and huge ego's just to watch them take off.

I'd own a Z06 in a heart beat over that car.

I'd suppose in the proper enviroment. I doubt my stock STI will be walking any at highway speeds on public roads anytime soon through. Is it nice to dream that if I was willing the STI would be even able to keep up with a blown v8 at those speeds.
