I think i've been dumb enough to race two other cars on actual streets, a mustang GT with the V6 body, e-cutout at the headers, nitrous, cai, and i had 3 ppl in the car...
also another mustang gt, but i was the only one in the car, and i won that one.

Ok first of all check your avatar dude, you know this is serious business!

2nd of all, what do you mean by a Mustang GT with a V6 body? Was it a fox body 5.0 LX (fox bodies had 4 cyls for the base models)? or was it a newer V6 Stang with a V8 swapped in, or was it just a GT with badges to make it look like a 6?

    Eric I'm ashamed... :-(

I don't believe in street racing... except that time I beat a 2006 mustang gt, some year stock evo (had a small spoiler not the park bench one), a bmw m3, a mazda miata, err...

    There's no acceleration limit. :-)

almost positive it was GT with base model rear+hood, could be mistaken though. did the V6's have dual exhaust?
    2000ish year model, BTW.

I live my life a quarter mile at a time...

Seriously though, here it WA, they're making it illegal to witness a street race w/o reporting it. If you're caught spectating, you can get a huge ticket. Up to $2k IIRC. I've been to a couple of those events a few years ago but never drove. The part i don't get is that when 50+ cars are rollin through town bumper to bumper, all modded up the ying yang, do they not expect cops to pick up on it and follow them to their next destination?

That being said, the races here seem surprisingly organized and safe, even though they're completely and utterly illegal. I'd never go to one even as a passenger again, but even when they're moving from place to place, they don't speed, they just form a line and go the speed limit then line the streets when they get to their destination. They always have a spotter on either end of the track and i personally know of 3 EMT's that attend on a regular basis. I've even heard that one of the guys with the fastest cars is a cop. Help is not far off for anything that happens.

I'm not gonna condone this form of racing at all, but i've personally witnessed a couple of jack ass ricers being told to leave by the proposed organizers of said races. Like i said, they're very safe and very cautious.

I guess since it was flag day people were driving around with flags on their cars on the main avenue in town. This one moderately modded evo kept driving back adn forth down the road.... so i got in my WRX and pretty much did a drag launch off a red light and redlined just to silence his inferior downpipe (bpm > all).

The funny part was when i stopped at the red light next there were two cops double parked right next to me staring at me. lol. I looked at them and just kinda smiled and shrugged and they laughed and i drove off. I was really nervous until they laughed tho lol.

EXHIBITIONS OF SPEED AND/OR EXHAUST TONE ARE BAD!!!

Motor vehicle in N.J. doesn't issue points for accidents unless you received a ticket.

True dat yo. Although even thinking the word "claim" in New Jersey grants you a +$1000 to your insurance premium.

    Gotta love NJ car insurance...

there's actually a way you can get pulled over once on the Garden State Parkway and get your license revoked instantly. You have to like be speeding in the rain on a holiday with children in a playground across town at night with no headlights on while picking your nose passing an 18-wheeler on the right. Some crazy string of events like that... you can get like 16 points for one combo violation lol. I think it's on the GSP website lemme find it...
