    haha alright sounds good man so for my first mod you suggest getting that downpipe to reduce turbo lag and then that accessport stage 2 to lower the chance of getting boost creep and also getting some more power?so im looking at maybe takeing out 2g lol

    The performance mods will only set you back like 1g and i would recommend at the same time or even Accessport first, there is a stage 1 that doesn't need anything just is a little more fine tuned stock engine then go stage 2 when you can afford the DP

    no cat more horsepower that is all you "need" for stage 2 but a catback always helps if you can afford it

    Hey, i'm abenak's buddy thats tryin to help him out with this. I have a turbo'd 01 eclipse gt, so I am quite familiar with that platform. I was just curious about how these sound with no cat? I know lots of cars can be quite obnoxious, but not always. Also what exhaust system would you recommend for daily driving (not a screamin loud one)?

    I have cobb's 3" catback and Bosals divorced wastegate downpipe with a gutted 3rd cat in the middle. It sounds good, still has the boxer rumble most people like. It's not silent, but not so loud I can't think. I definitely know if the car is running from hearing the exhaust note inside the car. If you want something really quiet - get the Borla Hush. It's the only exhaust I have ever heard of with which people complain about being too quiet.

    What about the invidia turbo back exhaust? If this is a good choice, which muffler do you guys suggest going with, remember its a daily driver.

    invidia N1 is one of the best sounding exhausts out there imo.

    and to the original poster.

    you'll need just about 1200 to get started.
    first get the cobb accesport.

    then get the downpipe.

    those two things and you will be very happy for a while. if you want to get better sound after you've done those. then look into getting a nice catback.

    hey didn't I read about this someplace else?

    I have put about $2100 in to my Sti for 316 awhp.
    DP=$200
    Pulley=$100
    Stroumng CB=$500 (very quiet)
    GM soleniod=$80
    Cobb APv2=$600
    Protune=$500

    you can get a vf22, fuel pump, helix injectors as a set for $1300 from speed monkey.

    so for 3400 you could have ~350awhp. if you know how to drive the car then you should be around 11.7 1/4mi.
