4 people in car ? that will have a huge effect on accelleration.

    100lbs = -10hp = .1sec qtr mile

AWD from a roll < AWD from a dig

    Remember that next time.

P.S. shame on you for street racing with other people in the car. Not only does it make your car heavy(er) you have other people to worry about if you "were" to crash.

I can feel a difference with 1 person in the car let alone 4. I had 4 people in my WRX before and it definitely felt like there was a difference.

This is completely irresponsible of you. Why would you add weight to the car when you are going to be racing. Next time tell your friends to follow in another car, preferably with a videocamera or cellphone capable of video so they can record it and upload it to streetfire/youtube/police.

Oh, and you could have hurt them as well as yourself.

+1, if you have no regard for your own life thats one thing, don't take others into your hands.

go to a track and put some money on it. get your thrils that way.

and I had a type-S with intake/exhaust and hondata reflash and they are quick they are putting over 190hp at the wheels. still not as much as a stock rex but still a good number. 500 lb extra weight is going to slow you down enough considerably.

i'm also assuming you are new to the wrx so chances are you were probably in the wrong gear along with the extra weight means...type-s>wrx

edit: the rsx also weighs about 300lb less then the rex so theres another set back

Bad call on 4 people being in the car, it would have been a good race or you would have won if you didn't bring a car full of weight, i guess still not a bad run for being one of the heaviest WRXs i have ever heard race anything

I had an RSX type-S before my WRX. That car had really good high RPM pull. From a roll, stock for stock, they can usually keep up pretty well with a WRX. Also, stock, the '02 RSX-S weighed 2767 lbs. If I remember correctly, the WRX weighs in at right around 3200.

Weight disadvantage + passengers = loss

Street racing in general = stupid
    I drive a WRX and work for Harley-Davidson .

I say pack em in, the more people in your car, the slower you'll go, less severe the wreck. Ever seen a clown car in an accident? me either

I am not surprised with the outcome. Stock WRX puts down around 170-180 at the wheel.

Since both RSX Type-S and WRX traps about the same around 94-96mph, additional weight of 300-400 lbs can have a huge effect on acceleration.
