    06 wrx vs. 06 rsx

my friend drives the rsx, he has buddyclub coilovers, hks hipower cbe, and front strutbars.

    i'm bonestock + lemon airfreshner

so far we've raced twice and my record is 0 for 2.. why is this?
the second time he got like quarter to half a second lead.. we ended at about 100 mph.. and he was like 2 headlights lengths ahead of me. we went on a single "GO" shouted by him <_<..

the first time, it was my fault, i couldn't shift into 2nd, kinda sticked before it went in..
i think i've got to learn how to boost properly.. some suggestions would be nice, other than the fact that i'm not the best "racer"..

I'd bet my money on RSX Type-S with BPU over stock WRX (rolling start).

Even Camry V6 or Accord V6 will beat WRX from a rolling start. Sorry to admit it, but it's true.

Trap speed is more important than 0-60mph.

off the line you would probably beat him barely if anything but off a roll with those mods a 06 rsx s will destroy a 06 rex.

make of the thread, search for a thread that explains to you how to launch.

the OP says nothing about RSX type S?

but i can't see how a base RSX could beat a WRX. RSX numbers: ~15.5@90mph which isn't going to beat any WRX at anything

RSX-S ~15@97mph. Yes those are quite fast frumaroll..

You are stock and raced a 06' RSX-S w/ catback from a roll and you are surprised you lost..... Contrary to popular belief, they are actually pretty quick uptop.

Ouch. From a dig, you should definately have him, if you launch it well. From a roll........I used to have an RSX Type-S, and it had wonderfull top end, so if you're stock, he will probably pull on you.
    I drive a WRX and work for Harley-Davidson .

My mom has an Accord V6 A/T, and I drive it all the time. I can tell you that car wouldn't beat a wrx 2.0 or 2.5 frumaroll. They are pretty quick cars and torquey, but no racer at all. It doesn't pull hard after 100mph at all. I don't exactly remember what my 2.0 wrx was like stock, since it only was for about 3 days. But I'm 99% sure that it would beat an Accord V6. Her's is an 03, but I don't believe that there have been "major" changes, maybe a bump of 10 hp. Now if we are talking a 2dr 6spd accord that might be a different story. But we still have to look at other factors i.e. ft wheel drive and power/weight ratio. As I recall there aren't nearly the amount of M/T's as there are A/t's. That really is irrevelant.

Simple thing is: The OP, I don't believe is serious in his post. But as always the driver mod is most important
