Well, I was walking around campus today and out of nowhere, I hear the rumble of an aftermarket exhaust. I look back and there is the riceyest looking Focus I have ever seen. I keep staring and I read SALEEN big across the windsheild and the body kit and the rims, etc. Apparently Steve Saleen wanted to make a Focus... This is not a new one with N2O (maybe 2000-2004) and I dont think it had any other mods.
Anywho...Since I drive an 06 WRX, should I even try to play with him or would it not be worth it. Who should fare best?
Yesterday, while parking my car I also saw an SVT Focus in the lot... I have the same question on that one.
I was looking at Yahoo motors and I saw that the SVT Focus only has like 170hp and 140tq, so I would think that I would stomp the crap out of it...

No. I heard a story from a friend, who knew of a kid who was going along his school (in the STL area) in his daddys bright red Ferrari and was cruising at a meager 110 mph. The catch is that there was a cop in the area and when he was stopped, he was paraded through his school and escorted to jail for a few months.
I race specifically in places where they put up those "Deaf children playing" signs.

As long as it isn't boosted or has a V8 shoved in it, you shouldn't have a problem with him.

IT has a 'claimed' 0-60 of 5.8 with spray engaged, the rest of the time it claims a 7.4 0-60. So unless you are spraying, you are still driving a focus. What's funny is a WRX can do a better or just as good 0-60 everyday without having to spray, (as well as the cost to constantly refill your bottle).

For 20K plus for an 05 focus, I would much rather have a used WRX.
As for your original question, you should stomp all over that focus you saw, even the SVT focus.
