so i raced a evo 8, pulled next to the guy at a stop light around 1 am in da morning and decided since this was the #1 enemy of subbies, id have to let them know what we're made of. Even tho i knew this evo would destroy me in my lil wrx, i felt that it had to be done. So when the light turned green we both gunned it, suprisingly, it was really even for the first few seconds, up to around 3rd gear, thats when the evo took off. Ud think the race was over then, but i never gave up, for some reason the evo slowed down and i was able to catch up to him and eventually pass him ( He was trying the whole time). We got on the freeway ramp with me ahead, and at this point i felt like i proved my point so i began to let up on the freeway, (going about 100), then the evo took off past me. The moral of the story is, wrx's can keep up with evos, or this guy dont know how to drive his evo.

Actually, the moral of the story should be street racing is not very intelligent. And by the way, I believe this belongs in WRX vs. The World forum.

yea im not saying a wrx can ever beat a evo straight on, but i was suprised to see how a wrx can keep up with a evo, especially since that car is out of the wrx class.

Odds are the guy took off from the dig, and then let off cus why keep going when hes put a bus length on you. So then you passed him cus he was slowing. and then u pulled a fly-by and to put you in your place he passed you after the on-ramp.

I beat some guy in his rays of light, from a dig the other day.... Then once I had clearly displayed my superiority... he pulled the ricer flyby on me too.
