Paintballguy, if you don't mind me asking, since you are building the block and have PPG gears with a dogbox, why are you getting a 30R and not AT LEAST a 35R?

I would have though with a built block you would be all over a 40R or something tremendous.

I had the privelege of driving one that had headers and a tune (498rwhp) and it made my truck feel like a geo metro (my truck runs mid 11's in street trim, low 11's on slicks/skinnies). They're awesome cars and I'd have no problem having one in the garage. I love the new hp wars that are going on right now, we now have several 500+hp cars available for under $100K, how cool is that?
amen to that brother. Now if we could get more RWD & AWD cars under $40k, life would be good. I would love a Subaru coupe, AWD, flat-6, 6sp manual, and around 3000 lbs or less, 300-400hp. This is almost like the SVX but it was under-powered, over-weight, and came to market at the wrong time.

I'm not all about drag.... I am more into road racing so I dont want something that spools next year. 30r is one of the best turbos for the 2.5 imo. Don't really care about huge power.

Makes sense. I have seen a few cars with the 30R and I agree it is a great street turbo.

I have to say that I'm so jealous of your PPG gears.

I'm getting scared to put a VF39 on the car because these 06s are making so much freakin torque.
