The 5.0 crowd is always hard to figure out... find a guy who is stock, (is there such a thing?) and you will kill him... but the mod community for that engine... you can get you ACE handed to you so easily... by now, all the fox bodys you see that want to race are pretty capable machines... (Ford hasn't produced a pushrod 5.0 since 95... and the aftermarket on the modular 4.6 has exploded...) short answer is that you never know what you will get from a Mustang... (my 96 GT would have had a hard time beating my 89 Escort unmodded...)...

It's only an 02, he doesn't need to worry about it that much.

That statement, wow. You need engine management no matter what year or what car you drive. EM makes the world go 'round.

No, you don't. Closed loop vs. open loop. Although it is much better to have EM (which I never said it wasn't, just that it wasn't necessary for his year model) it's really not necessary. I ran a similar setup (TBE, catless up, mbc) for over 40K miles without a single problem, as did most of the people I was running around with at the time. And no, gravity makes the world go "'round."

Let me make myself clear, though. This is the most I would ever do without EM.
