The Mazda tribute, Ford Escape, and MS6 share the same drivetrain componentry last time I heard, and that s&*t is suspect IMHO.
Further more the X-type Jag also share the components too.
Sure the parts are from Japan, but so where the busted a$$ Mitsu parts of the second gen 4G63's that crankedwalked there way into all of our heart, along with all of the other maladies that got there president begging for apologies, and almost got them banckrupt.
Just because it's from Japan doesn't automatically make it the holiness.
No the MS6 is pretty much built from scratch as far as design. Ford just owns the profits. This is in no way a ford and if i find out it is i am getting rid of this car as soon as possible.haah FORD is ****

I don't find Japanese cars "holy" in any sense... I'm into performance cars, I could care less who makes them.

Ford, is Mazda, is Ford sorry .......
    Muuuuuhahahahahahahahahahahahaha

If the Ford/Mazda parts bin is what you call from scratch, then yes it's totally from scratch man. Trust me Ford makes sure that they use as litte fresh stuff as possible. Have you looked into an Aston Martin lately?
If they will put two Contour engines together and call it a V12, and throw Taurus switch gear in them, just think of what they did to your car. Can you say overboosted Protege MSP?

yep, you just have to sacrifice something. Look forward to the STi not producing any torque or power in 08.

I never said that I liked the way Toyotas looked, b/c a agree they do not have the most exciting exteriors but no one can say that Toyota's quality and reliability is not at the top of the list.. Sometimes I wish my interior on my 06 rex was more refined meaning better quality materials and fit and finish. I still do not regret my purchase though.
