    Stock WRX vs Lotus Elise

The other day I was heading into town and saw a little yellow flash in my rear view coming up fast, as it got closer my jaw dropped, it was a bright yellow Elise. I was doing between 50 and 60 and he was getting closer at a rapid rate. As he closed into within 30 ft of me he went right into the oncoming lane and didnt even slow down. I downshifted and floored it seeing if I had it to catch him. As I floored it he was already going around another corner. After 10 seconds I got him back into view and kept accelerating until I got right up behind him, he in turn accelerates even faster and started pulling away. I made my next shift and attempted to keep up. A few more twists and turns later I see him slowing down to get onto the highway. I figure why not how often do you see your dream car and someone driving it willing to race. I followed him up and the second he saw me he took off again, I ended up getting completely destroyed, I was maxxing out 4th and he was just a little speck in the distance. I turned off the next exit and went on my way... But god what a sound that little thing made.

I actually raced a green elise from about 60-70 mph roll in my stock 06 STi and had him everytime by about a car or two before we shut down... of course it was strait line racing.

Yeah high speed straigh-line stuff probably isn't the elise's strong point.

Yeah, from what I've seen the majority of them run low 14's to high 13's at the drag strip. IMO, that car has no business there... it's made for the twisties!

I would love to have one if I was hardcore into autoX...

They're most definitely cool cars, but I'd take the Exige over the Elise, just because I like the looks better. I'll take it in that "flat orange" color.
