    WRX vs GTO

I pull out of the movie theater i'm with a buddy. a silver GTO with the license plate frame "Eats Gas, but kicks ass" does a burnout leaving the parking lot onto the street..

    I catch up, thinking i'd get wasted by a 8 cycl ....

We do a roll from 3rd gear, after 3 honks we both run.
I pulled about a car - a car and a half.... By 80 he couldn't catch me so he shut down and so did I.

With your mods, you're probably trapping around 100-101 mph. From my observations, stock GTOs will typically trap between 101 and 106 mph (LS1 vs LS2).
And if you only ran from about 60 mph to 80 mph (you stated a 3rd gear pull), I'd have to say that the GTO driver likely didn't hit the gas at the same time you did, giving you the instant 1-1.5 car length lead right off the bat. I'd expect a rematch at the same speeds with an even start would produce slightly different results.

But good job on putting the showoff in his place.

    i think it was a 5.7 too.

Later that day i raced a Supercharged S2000..
It was dead even he had about 1/2 car on me cause he kinda launched (I dont launch) put i started to pull on him slowly specially in 4-5th..

We ended up shutting down. again at around 90. I never got infront.

    Pretty quick car

    Something is not right here.....

A stock S2000 alone will give a stage2 wrx a run for its money in 4th and 5th gear (when you said you started to slowly pull on him)... A s/c'd S2000 should absolutely waste you at those speeds... With basic supporting mods and lower psi they still near the 110mph mark for trap speeds.

Well it didnt waste me? ...

    EDIT:
Also i know someone with a Comptech S/C'd RSX...and he struggles with Stage 2 STIs... So i think you're giving either too much credit, or you relying way too much on numbers.

Well lets look at this logically.

You are saying an RSX-S with s/c'er struggles with stage2 STi's.

    1) Your stage2 wrx is not even remotely comparable in speed to a stage2 STi.

    2) S2000 out of the box is considerably faster than an RSX-S, and with a s/c'er that goes just the same.

I am not sure what you are getting at. I am not trying to take credit away from your win, but I am just saying something was not right.. Perhaps him not racing near the end. Stage2 wrx's do not pull on s/c'ed s2000's in 4th and 5th gear. From what I have seen, s/c'ed s2000 play with stage2 STi's and often pull them at higher speeds (4th,5th and 6th gear).

    killin em.

yeah, s2k = owning you in top end. especialy blown, i just don't see that happening, maybe he was just kinda messing with you with his throttle at that point.. the gto, sure it could happen, depends on what's goin on in his car, but the only way to really know if you've got kills is if you line em up and go, with previous knowledge that there was gonna be a race.. drag strips are always fun.
