2006 WRX vs 2000 Civic w/ K20 ??
In a few weeks I shall been attending a meet in CT where I will be coming across an old friend form my civic days. He says we should run now that I have a Rex so he can show me what a mistake it was to get one, I said cool. So from what I hear its a 2000 Civic with a K20 RSX Type- S swap which I believe are rated at 210 hp & 143lbs/torque. He supposedly has Toda cams, headers, exhaust, intake, and aftermarket clutch. I just recently went up against a turbo GSR and beat it by about 3 car lengths launching with out dumping the clutch should I be worried ?? I was thinking about getting maybe a TBE and a stage 2 tune B4 for the meet to maybe give me some extra ponies.... what do you guys think??

Race from a dig, and you should be fine till the upper MPH.
Race from a roll and you may be seeing his lights. He is lighter and is putting down about the same or more HP as a stock 06. K20A2 (200hp the K20Z1 is 210) + Toda Cams, H, I, E = very good power increase. If he has Hondata that is even better.

Great reason to start moding dont ya think Just as info my 02 bugeye when i had it was stage 2 with supporting mods and I only pulled a little bit on one from a 60 mph roll and i think it had stock cams. so its going to be a tight one. Video tape this!

Your deff going to want stg 2 other wise your tost. If your running stock even from a did you will jump out a car or two but soon he's going to be right there and might pass you, don't forget he weighs about 300 lbs. less then you. I'm stg 2 on my 06 and live with honda people and go to there meets all the time. With the right mods the are deadly.

He is probably running lower 14's and if he does in fact have a tuned Hondata, more like 13's. This means that from a dig it will likely be close, and from a roll you are going to be owned. If you go stage2 you should have no problem taking him from a dig with a good launch.. However, from a roll it would still be close even at stage2

He's running mid to high 13s with that setup. That K series responds very well to the usual N/A mods.
I think with the Stage 2, however, you will be able to take him pretty handily.

I think its definately gonna be a tight race w/o stage 2. Although I wasnt supposed to I already went up against a Turbo'ed B series w/o LSD and I pulled about 3 cars on him but he caught up to me at around 95 BUT that was with me shifting at 5k AND I practically bogged at the line because I was afraid of doing a clutch dump. Believe me right now Im literally trying to get this sorted out before the meet. I was supposed to get a Nur Spec today and it got delyed thru shipping like 4 days so right now Im talking to a local kid so I can pick up a Greddy catback from him and just purchase the DP from ebay so I can hurry and get this thing tuned by then. I have been preaching to my honda buddies what a big step up in power the soobie has been so I really need to prove it come this meet. Trust me it will be recorded and posted.
