    The new ones are a little too fat, which slows them down, but showroom stock times really mean nothing for these two cars. I am suspecting that the GT500 will love mods as much as the 03/04s. This is where the difference will be, the 5.4L vs the 4.6L. The 5.4L which is a terror in the Ford GT (I know it is not exactly the same, but pretty darn close) can make wads of power with little effort. I cannot wait to see what these Shelbys are doing by next summer, they are going to be mean as all hell I suspect.

    Yeah i would assume the extra displacement would mean more modification potential I was just wondering if it was correct that from the factory they are running the same time

    The 05+ has a fit an finish that the 03+ Cobra could only wish for. All the things that mustang enthusiasts have wished for is present.

    I can attest for that. I passed on the previous 2 generations of Mustangs for pretty much that reason. I spend like 30 minutes just looking at every little joint and detail when I was at the dealer...they thought I was crazy. The 05+ are a HUGE improvement in build quality.
