my friend ran a 13.5 at 105mph stock.

I'm hoping my '03 wrx with vf39 + supporting mods + helix tmic can trap a little higher.
I would think typically the average driver wouldn't be hitting low 13s in a E46 M3, I think they are a mid 13 second car with the average driver and with a great driver can hit 13.3 or so.Originally Posted by Chiketkd

A good driver will get 13.0-13.3 @ 107/108mph
A decent/average driver will get 13.4-13.6 @ 105/106mph

That's been my experience as well. I've seen stock E46 M3's trap high 107's to low 108's in the 1/4 mile.Originally Posted by DTR rex

I have never seen a stock E46 come even close to a 13.0, I guess the ones I have seen at the track don't have great drivers, although I also think the best mag number I ever saw for an E46 was a 13.3. My buddy's boss has one and he races it alot (track racing), he got walked pretty hard by a stock SRT-8 300M and his M3 has a chip and exhaust and a few other goodies.

Head over to the M3 forums.Originally Posted by elohdaeh78
There are quite a few people in the 13.0-13.3 time bracket. Again, they are the better drivers though obviously.

its extremely difficult to find one of those so if you run into one on the street or a drag strip, dont be scared.

It depends "what" you run into it with on the street, lol.Originally Posted by AwdTurboWrx

stage2 wrx = be scared. It will be close from a dig and you will get spanked from a roll
stage2.5 wrx = your're good from a dig, but will likely be edged out from a roll still
stock STi = worry. From a dig it will be really close; a drivers race... From a roll, close until you hit higher speeds and the M3 will take over.
stage2 STi = don't be scared. You're good from a dig, and should also be good from a roll... but probably not by anymore than 2 car lengths.

What do stage 4's usually trap?
Depends on the turbo and the tune.Originally Posted by prspect06
VF34 and VF22 turbo's trap pretty similarly which is anywhere from 106-110 depending on driving and tune. The VF30 and VF39's tend to trap a bit lower however.

i dont care if they are tuned or not, anything smaller then a 16g to me isnt considered stage 4.
