The thing here is that both cars are somewhat similar in 1/4mile times. A very very well driven 06' will go 13.7 whereas a very very well driven GT will go 13.4.... However, on average the 06' is only going to go ~ 14.0-14.1 whereas the average GT will go 13.6-13.8. Not to mention the GT traps a good 6mph higher or so.

A roll will you get your own ass handed to you... A stop you do have somewhat of a chance but likely you will get beat or at best just edged out as speeds increase... The wrx is not that easy to launch, whereas stangs are very easy to launch.

I don't race my R1 on common roads... Only do roll-ons on the highway.

because you're not putting other people in harm's way if you do it on the highway

I did 3 pulls from about 60-120 with a stock GT last weekedn (I was in a stage II 2.0l).

Dead even to 100+, maybe him by 3 feet from 100-120...

An 06 would be down about 25 HP on the top-end....but a stage II 06 should be a dead even for most of the race...

    ???

Stock for stock, an 06 GT will destroy a STOCK WRX around a road course...

It's laps times would be much closer to an STi's.
