WRX vs 350Z

Guys... without Alky kit, hitting 104mph trap speed with TD04 is not an easy thing to do.

You will need around 250+ whp to hit 104+ trap speed. 104+ trap speed is high 12s car.

Ok, its been done, with and without alky. There are many protuned stage 2 wrx's running street legal 100octane in the 240-250whp range, most seem to hit around 103, but Ive seen higher. To get 106's and 7's would def take alky. Im not saying these results are typical, but relatively easy to achieve. The only reason I will wince to the 350 at the top end (120+) is merely a thing of aerodynamics. You know these subys are bricks in comparison.
Plus Im sure that 104mph trap is not typical of the BPU 350z's either.

FWIW - I own a stock 2005 Enthusiast 350Z 6M

My WRX feels faster to me. I've raced a 2006 350Z 6M that was stock (with the REVUP engine) and pulled 1-2 cars on him from light to light 3 times in a row.

Highway speeds might be a differint story though. 30-60 I'm not so sure the WRX would have a chance.

Bear in mind though, I'm very lightly modded - just perrin hoses and uppipe and the Cobb Stage I map.

I've spent enough time at www.my350z.com that I know what the outcome will be. 350Z can trap over 104mph with BPU. I've read too many STi vs. 350Z race stories.

And I've lived too many STi vs. 350Z race stories. Even with BPU's, it was never a drivers race. The STi stomped them everytime. Just my POV of course.

I still think a stage 2 06 WRX would take a 350Z with CAI and exhaust. Let me drive the stage 2 and I would take you up on that bet. Without slicks, the WRX will triumph in the 1/4.

I agree.

Stage2 06' vs intake exhaust 350Z is a drivers race at higher speeds with the advantage going to the Z if speeds move into tripple digits, however, in the 1/4mile the wrx should come out ahead every time.

I ran into a dude that I was hoping couldn't drive his Z when I got my 05 wrx in 2004. He was laughing with his friend and revved at us. We were both stock and he got embarassed badly. He could make the excuse it was from a dig, but he wasn't catching up anytime soon. I guess he just sucked at driving and take that into consideration for his loss.
