I didn't have the bugeye, I had a blob with the 1MM wider 1,2,3 than the 02's and early 03's.

I actually witnessed some kid blowing up his transmission in SoCal. I was driving around El Toro...and I hear this WRX pull up to a light adjacent to me. He starts revving at some other car, holds his RPMs, then goes to launch at the light and BOOM. Smoke, crap everywhere, car stalls. I just shook my head.

Whenever I speak to friends about this (some owning WRX's), they'd reply with "Mommy and daddy bought them the car and they don't know how to drive it. You can't launch it like a FWD." - So I always figured the whole transmission scare was overblown because of 'tards like that.

Why would you compare a $50,000 CTS-V to our cars?

We're not even proud about beating a standard fart can civic let alone a le baron....why would they?

If turbos aren't more advanced technology than a regular V-8..then I think alot of people in the auto industry would **** themselves and quit.

I'd like to see one of them handle an auto-x event, **** even a rally-x event in their cars, that would be hilarious!

The WRX STI will crush the Northstar V-8s. It's way more than 1 second quicker and 7mph faster through the 1/4 mile.

EVEN a 50+K CTS-V has around the same performance as an STI(CTS-V is faster at higher speeds) From the last Motor Trend Article on both...
