06 TR vs. SRT4 vs. SRT4

Tonight I took out my 06 TR to mess with my friends stock SRT-4 and my other friends modded SRT-4.

Highway pulls from 40-110 or so had me and the stock SRT-4 dead even. Basically, whoever got the jump first was the one that would be ahead. I was shifting at 6,000 RPM or a little bit higher, never took it to redline. The modded SRT4 pulled 3 or 4 cars on us by 110.

Mods:

06 WRX - Tsubo Cat-less Downpipe, Vibrant Cat-Back, Intake Silencer Delete, 4th gear boost creep mod (annoying as hell, hits fuel cut if I keep my foot planted at 5,000 RPM)

Modded SRT-4: Modern Performance 3" O2 housing, MAP clamp, AGP front mount intercooler, K&N typhoon intake, ported stock turbo and intake manifold, some bleeder mod to keep the ECU from reading all the boost, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, braided stainless big ass return line, 20 psi dropping to 15 at redline.

All in all, we had a lot of fun. Once we got off the highway and into some stoplights, I showed them both who was boss with THE BEST launch I've ever done. Neither SRT-4 had caught up when I let off at 90. I don't think even the modded one was within 3 carlengths of me. Admittedly, his launch wasn't very good.

They were both definitely racing. They are both my friends, and the reason we took the cars out in the first place was to compare my new exhaust, and the new mods on the one SRT-4.
