Kill :WRX vs Dodge Ram SRT-10

So I was driving back to work from lunch today a big old dodge pulls up next to me hood scoop and faring and all, I had just merged onto the highway and as I shift into 3rd I let the old turbo spool up and ran till about 6500 rpms. Well the guy in the truck evedently didn't like me jumping out ahead, so I hear him mash the pedel and he goes flying by we ended up next to each other at the last light out of town. when the light changed I just drove like I normally do which is fairly aggressive, what can I say I love the wrx through 3rd gear, and hommey in the truck mashes it again. Those trucks are loud as hell and he pulled by me, so I down shifted from 4th and mashed it. I easily cought the guy and put 3-4 cars on him in no time. I could hear him down shift and his engine was screaming, I could hear it over my car and radio. Hell he never could quite catch me I would solw down and let him gain, then punch it again and increase my lead. I ran her up to about 110, but had to turn off to my work place. the last thing I saw was the dude flipping me the bird. I can't wait to see him again and smoke that big old truck, what is it with big trucks? A bonus of living in a small comunity is it will happen, and I will be stage two soon.

Methinks it was a Hemi Ram, not an SRT-10.

I didn't know there were two rams with scoops and spoilers? Either way it was fun. How can you tell the difference just looking at them? It was silver and had some big old bling rims.

A lot of the Hemis have the SRT look. You can add the hood, front bumper, spoiler, etc. from the SRT.

Quite a few Ram models have similar body parts. In fact, I think those are factory options depending on the model trim. I've only seen one SRT-10 and aside from the trim on the tailgate, it could have easily passed for any other Hemi model done up in the right body cladding.

If it was an SRT-10, I think you'd have a much different story to tell.

actually unless u really know what to look for its hard to tell them apart you can get a "daytona" edition reg ol quad cab hemi silver ram that comes with a big wing, big bling 20s a body kit and a hood scoop. and u can get a viper motored powered silver quad cabed big wing with 22s and a hood scoop.

    hemi powered

    vipered powered

They're definitely NOT that fast stock, but they will beat a stock WRX or STI. I think the 11.9 number is for the SRT-10 Viper, not Ram. The truck runs high 12s - low 13s at 107mph or so.

Yeah I just went to the dodge web site, it wasn't an srt-10, looked to tall and breaks wern't red, but it wasn't quite the daytona either? The spoiler was smaller and there were no stripes, must be trim options or modded? The daytona makes 340 hp, but is probably heavy for the hp.

Sorry for my ignorance, I guess I am giong to have to learn all the makes, models, and specks before I go posting again

    Nice run.

PS...I ate an SRT10 in my stock STi at the track. Just because it has a big engine doesn't mean you don't have learn how to launch.

Can't think of how many folks freak when the STi get them out of the hole and all you see is a cloud of smoke as the try to "catch that thing with the big wing".
