    Thumbs up WRX vs. Genesis

So me and my friend cannot stop arguing about who has a better/faster car.
Me: 2013 Subaru WRX Sedan, no mods yet. (265hp)
Him: 2013 Hyundai Genesis 2.0t track edition, intake and catback exhaust. (270hp)

I personally I think my wrx because AWD, low weight, aerodynamic, torque and similar horsepower.

I could just be over-favoring my Subie because of my love for it but I'd love to have your insight on why I am better!

*PS*: He has automatic and of course I'm manual.

    His car is more elegant.

Yours may be faster but I don't really see a reason to hurry anyway.

Yours is likely more reliable and certainly more practical, making it better.

His Hyundai is the better car; it has less pesky doors to worry about, is RWD, automatics are easier to get your GF to drive you home from wine tastings, and it comes with an amazing warranty.

The part about the automatic and being driven around is actually a very good point.

I'd love to be driven around from wine tasting to wine tasting.

I also love warranties because I don't like working on cars.

I reverse my previous position: Hyundai is the better car.

EDIT: I had a thought though. You know those little red wagons with the handle for pulling it? Does one of those fit in the Hyundai? It certainly fits in the Subaru. I weigh over 100 kg and will ideally need to be pulled around in a wagon from wine tasting to wine tasting as I'll be in no shape -- or mood, frankly -- to walk.

Great idea with the sag wagon! Unfortunately the Hyundai won't fit it, so do what I do: I get a wine country ghillie suit and spend the night sleeping off the wine in an adjacent field. Ya know, it looks like the purple grape dude from Fruit of the Loom...

    wait....wut?

i like the Genesis coupe but wouldnt it be better compared to a modded brz? i have to agree with our sammich goddess. the track will tell.

honestly, even with traction control how is he going to limit his wheel spin trying to keep up with the wrx? bulky storage is a problem. more than one friend going to the wine tasting? problem(wait, is the hyundai a 2 seat or 2+2?)...and you can always fold the seats down and crash in the back of a wrx wagon in the parking lot hahahah. warranty is better on the genesis and the coupe is a great looking car too.

i look at it this way. mine is better. cause its mine, and for no other reason. although i give all the props to my friends cars too. their cars are better than mine(mostly because they are lol) but its their car.

actually the only reason my car is better than my friends cars? mine is Paid Off! wooohoooo!!!! hahahhahah freedom!
when my friends come up, i hear, "you sold the camarrrroooh.....HOLY BLEEP A WRX!"
Ya has that effect on me too.

    I hear ya there Brotha,
The best debt is no debt. I'm making good progress toward paying mine off. Only thing is once that happens, I'll run out and buy another new Subaru for my mom. The 09 I bought her is paid off, she still wants to keep it awhile. So when I remove things from my WRX, they end up on her car. She likes the Forester, I'll get her the XT. That should keep the Hyundais away. Lol

If you are a real man, the WRX is better.

If you are a cheese eating old fart monkey, the Genesis is better.

Seriously though, its highly subjective and fairly pointless to argue about (full disclosure; I engage in pointless arguments regularly too lol). They are both nice in their own different ways.

    Further disclosure:
    I prefer the WRX.
I have owned a Hyundia and think they make good products.
    I love cheese.
My kids tell me I am an old fart.
I have been called a monkey on more than one occasion (usually by my wife).

I would have to say WRX. I always loved the way they looked and performed.
Also I've never been a fan of hyundais. My sister seems to like them but what would she know!
