2015 WRX vs 2013 CIvic Si

I just purchased a 2015 WRX as a weekend car. I still have my 2013 Si to drive to work and am using that to commute about 500 miles per week. I love both cars but they are very different. Here is my list of major distinctions so far.

Engine- the civic si is very smooth and has a good sound but cannot compare to the pull of the wrx. Also love the turbo noise. Advantage WRX

Steering- This is not even close. After I drove my Wrx for the first time, I got in my civic and thought the steering linkage was broken. It felt loose and sloppy. Advantage WRX

Trans- I like the WRX clutch but Si is so smooth. Si wins this one

Radio- not even close. The WRX sound like it has at least a couple blown speakers. Si radio wins by a mile.

Styling- In person I feel the WRX looks better. I like that it is sporty but also looks like a sleeper from far away.

If I could choose only one it would be the wrx. The major reason is the handling and the power it has compared to the si.

That's about right and what was to be expected.

    It's what makes a WRX a WRX.

    Crappy transmission? Check.
    Crappy stereo? Check.

Yeah.. I've never known a Subaru to have a decent stereo, even with the "premium" sound package. Luckily, that's super easy to replace.

Seriously...3 Subarus now and three terrible sound systems, stock that is. A nice set of subs, head unit, amplified Focal components on the other hand...sounds wonderful.

Ok, then the burning question that we ^^^ are all wondering about: how does the civic compare in deep water?

Or what about racing through the cornfield? I mean that water is still shallow on that side. Or the shallow rice field? I always get those two mixed up lol.

Just absolute trash the "premium" sound system. I only went for premium for the sunroof and heated seats....COLD winters here in BC, Canada. However, the stock stereo leaves at least 2 amplifiers, subwoofers, speakers and new double DIN to be desired. basically...my Pontiac firefly came with a better stereo with a tape player in 1995!!!!!

I also went from a civic to Wrx. No comparison. Wrx hands down. The only other car I can drive that doesn't drive me nuts, is the imprezza a bought new for my Mumzie. I only like 2 types of cars. Import tuner, and American muscle.
