BMW M235i vs. Mercedes CLA45 AMG vs. Subaru WRX STI Comparison - Motor Trend

I think the engine vitals from the cla45 will be the future of the STI a 2 liter pushing 355hp with a twin scroll 26psi turbo. Besides that a nice read if deciding on getting a 2015 STI. Return of the gold wheels!

The photo of the STI with 4 wheels of the ground is fantastic! Nice review/comparison of the three. It sounds like Subaru has improved the interior of the new model significantly.

4.6-seconds to 60, they say. Faster than its predecessor (5.0-sec) they say.

How? The drivetrain carries over (to the best of my knowledge). We have always been told by these mags that the STI was theoretically slower to 60 than the WRX because the 6-cog box required an additional upshift to get there; is that not the case with the STI now? Did the gear ratios change or ... ?

nice article. If i could lease, i would probably just pick the m235i and lease. If i had to buy, it would probably buy the sti..even though i think they should've really upped the power to 350hp with stronger internals or at least offer a performance package with forged internals for extra $2k.

I wish AMG locked the cla45 into a 50 : 50 split instead of the fwd bias.
