    05 wrx vs 04 s60r

Trying to settle an argument that yes the Volvo s60r is faster in a straight line then my 05 Wrx with 38k miles for two reasons it has 300hp and is a automatic where as my wrx has 227hp at the crank and is a 5speed. Now the argument is which is faster in track conditions and corners..?

    Here's my 05 Wrx btw

    Who's the better driver?

Neither car is explicitly designed for the track.

I'd give the WRX an edge all around really. The automatic transmission should be a disadvantage vs a manual with a good driver... and while it might have a bit more power, it's a pretty heavy car. A friend of mine had one and it was far from a performance vehicle.

Also, HP numbers alone mean nothing when racing...even in a straight line.

    Way up high.
227hp at the crank - So it's stock.

We've got a high 14 second car with a manual vs a high 13 second car with a point and shoot.

    I'm going with the volvo.

It's nice to see an 04' with that mileage and still stock! But you'll have to live with the limitations. An VF turbo, downpipe and a tune and you'll be running circles around that volvo.
