My Bone Stock 04 wrx VS 1970 chevelle with about 700hp.Doing this to prove point!!!

Hey guys newbee here to subaru world. Going to need your help. My name is Kyle and i work at a classic car restoration shop on long island. We also do alot of FAB and performance work. Well i work with a lot of guys that are stuck in the 70s + 80s. With big blocks cars and stand behind the old saying ( no replacement for displacement.) One of them still rocks a mullet. After a argument a few weeks back this week a good customer of mine came in for some work on his S5. Then he brought back his old car for some freshening up because he wants to dump it. So a 2004 WRX Wagon was at my feet. Perfect!!! 70,000 miles , Bone stock. Adult owed. $ 5500.00 . So now its its up or shut up. I have until spring to get this ready to beat the balls off a 502ci 4000 pound pos. and i have no idea on what people do to these cars for more giddy up. Now mind you guys i will be doing all the work my self . My last toy was a 5.0 mustang that was a high 9 second sbf with nitrous on drag radials, street car . Since my buddy let me drive his STI, i have always had a high respect for these cars. So what do you think? Did i talk to much ****? So i came to you guys for your wisdom. I need to know what companies to use. Should i focus on build a strong bottom end or are the heads not flowing enough? Or do i find bigger turbo? I Feel that these cars are some of the best cars built for all around performance . Plus i like the way thy sound. Im going to hang around this site and do my home work . Just wanted to state my objective and introduce myself. Thanks guys. BTW this wagon a little bullet and cant believe the handling . So glad i did this.

heads need opened up, internals need to be replaced with forged bits, may want to stroke it, or de-stroke it and spool it out to high hell, and a high cfm turbo, with all the supporting mods.

Look here for big power builds. this site is lacking in that department.

You got about $20k ready to throw down? You're going to want a built motor, 2.5L short block, built heads, six speed transmission, rear diff, axles, clutch, big turbo, etc.

I don't understand what point you are attempting to prove?

Are you drag racing this Chevelle? Literally, there is nothing you can add to a WRX that will catch a 700hp Chevelle on the strip... those cars with the positrac and proper drag radials will hook up instantly, and the race weight is around 3200lbs.

Of course, in the corners, the Chevelle is useless.
