    13 WRX vs 11 WRX

So I was just wondering if anyone knows definitively the difference between the 11 WRX and the 13 WRX as I recently bought a 13 WRX. I know the specs vary depending on what website I go to or what youtube video I watch. 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited 4dr AWD Sedan Overview says that the 2013 WRX does 0-60 in 5.9 Seconds which is heck of a lot slower than 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX Special Edition First Test - Motor Trend or Five Steps to Making More Power in Your Subaru WRX – Feature – Car and Driver

As far as I know the 2011 and 2013 is mechanically the same, however everywhere I look for the 2011 it says it does 0-60 in 4.8-4.9 seconds.

Subaru 0-60 Times & Subaru Quarter Mile Times | 2013 Subaru WRX Sti 0-60, BRZ, Tribeca, Outback, Forester and 2012 Subaru Legacy 0 to 60 stats!

So the bottom line is, does anyone know what the actual numbers are since these are such big differences. 4.8 in the 2011 and 5.9 in the 2013?

Different reviewers. Some are launching the car at redline for that 4.8 second 0-60..where others are babying the launch and getting into the 5 second realm.

The cars are the same. Only difference is the headlights and the 11 sedans have the rear trunk piece chrome where as a 12-14 have it painted body color.

They have the same engines, same rated power, same tunes, same transmissions, same suspension setups...so you tell me how they are different? The actual numbers don't matter. Paper racing doesn't generally mean anything at all. What matters is your test drive.

The 2002 WRX, when it first arrived, had test numbers in the low 5's, if I recall, because the magazine guys just beat the snot out of it. I would think getting an optimal time would really depend on the 60 ft time, and that's going to be all about the driver.

0-60 is bogus comparison. Trap times, speeds, and 60' across similar drivers will give you a true understanding of acceleration.

AISB, trap speeds. A great indicator of day-to-day, useful performance.

As I had both, ECU different, tune different, but don't take my word for it. Give you more incentive to start modding.

2011 headlights are black, instead of chrome.
