2012 STi vs. 2012 Ford RS500

Clearly the swede did not know how to drive that STi shift light/buzzer set at 4.5-5k??? hmmm

The 5 cylinder didn't fair too well with other sports cars iirc, we'll see how Ford makes out. I like the style of the car, however, seems to be kind of a knock-off of "you know who". meh!

I dont think that was a 2012 STI. That was an 08-09 from the looks of it. Black housing headlights, less fender flare and the wheels gave that away.

A 2012 STI would have fared much better in my opinion. Although that RS is a cool looking car. Too bad we won't see it in the US, right?

Don't know much about how to really identify the GH body styles I'm afraid. Have a better working knowledge of the inner workings of the guts of the car than the outer appearance. Thanks for the correction and info!! I'm really not sure about the RS500, I've been digging to find out if it will be available in a USDM model. If it is, it'll be a *****-whipped version of the Euro/Aus/Asian models.

Definitely not a 12 - wrong exhaust, bodywork, etc. I do also have to wonder how you can call that a race with the STI shifting at 4.5k. Really? Barely using the meat of the powerband.

That said, the Ford is nice and looks like a fun ride.

As an aside - everytime I see one of these hot hatch comparos I always do a door count, and the WRX/STI's tend to win each time. Impressive performance for a car hauling around an AWD system, 2 extra doors and a backseat. Good stuff.
