But I do like the crazy styling, and look forward to hearing more about them once they're actually out on the road showing what they can do.

I agree...but I just have a feeling it will be another Turbo car that will be lumped into the unfortunate mess of of Turbo FWD cars that are too powerful to reliably enjoy.

I like the idea of the veloster, it looks good to me, and the turbo model should fix the early reports of an anemic drivetrain on the std model, but the interior is very low rent. I expected hard plastics, but it's like they raided a tupperware factory in there.

If I had to have a turbo FWD hatch, I'd get a Mazdaspeed. If I had to get a FWD sedan, I'd seriously consider a well-equipped Optima Turbo, or save up a bit more and get a TSX.

Agreed...I'd also go with a Mazdaspeed 3...Optima Turbo, eh? They are really starting to look like nice cars. TSXs are turbo'd now? I was not aware.

Nope, they're not, but I've always thought they were well-rounded cars, and the perfect entry-level luxury sedan. If a turbo was absolutely required, gosh, other than the optima, how many mid-range turbo FWD sedans are there? VW has a few, but I'm not a VW fan, and any Audi worth buying has Quattro. Nothing from Toyota, Honda, Subaru, or Mazda. Any turbo FWD 'Murican sedans?
