My dad has a 2007 vette with the ls2 engine I believe. I have a 2011 stage II wrx. I am hoping that this spring we can take them out to Beaverun motorsports complex and resolve some of these questions. We are both experienced drivers when it comes to racing so it should be a pretty fair race as far as driving capability is concerned. Well, at least fair enough to get a rough idea. He's getting old and I am in my prime haha. Anyway if I do this I will be sure to video it and post results. I can say from driving both ( Vette exposure was very limited) The wrx "feels" quicker in a straight line. But that can be down to the wrx's turbo kicking in and giving a false sense of speed where as the vette pulled very linear.

Vettes are slow. Have I mentioned that?

I beat many 02-10 vettes at our local 1/8th mile track. Awd def helps in a straight line short drag though. Never ran a new body Z06 yet though.

I found an interesting article in Car and driver. Seems as though the WRX and STI did not fair to well. Figured this article is some what relevant to the topic.

It is, but it's also pretty old news.
