a friend of mine did something similar with his wrx, he had one of the older 2.0l ones and one night leaving my house and heading home he hit a log in the middle of the highway. From his account he spun several times before he got his wits about him and down shifted and punched it when he lined back up with the road. The end result of him not doing that might not have been as severe, but he said the car performed beyond his expectations in that situation.

The craziest I've ever done was "drifting" in a parking lot full of snow. Yes I know you can't properly drift a FWD that's why I said "drifting" lol I don't do anything stupid. I have a slow civic, and my insurance is expensive enough as it is.

All as a passenger- been T boned in a grand am GT by a truck. Writing a
    1 year old car off.

My friend thought it would be cool to jump his 05 jimmy that his parents bought for him over train tracks. The road is a back road with train tracks that have no wig wags (proper name?), no lights or anything and there is tall grass around it so it's completely blind. He's driving 85 kph (52 mph) down this road, trying to show off how fast his SUV is. I started saying "dude, those train tracks are tall, slow down!" He didn't say anything and kept going. He jumped the tracks and we slammed down on the other side of them. His exhaust completely ripped off, including the cat.

Another friend of mine has a '00 grand am and there's a curve in town that is really tight. He decided to take it at triple the suggested speed. He ended up in a pole.

I was with my best friend once and he was driving normal until we had to drive a couple of his friends home. He tried drifting a 93? Neon with 5 people in it on dry pavement and ended up just hitting the curb destroying the tie rods and wheels.

I don't get why they feel like they need to show off and try to impress me just because I'm a car guy. None of them can drive either.

Craziest thing I've done... I was driving my parent's Tahoe as a 16 year old, and didn't see a " Dips 15mph" sign... I was doing 45, and hit the dip so hard that the Tahoe bottomed out, and on the down stroke (which was in a second dip) knocked the bumper off. I was in a lot of trouble after that one...
I took my stepdads Z28 camaro out of a joy ride when I was 15... and my stepdad is the incredible hulk. Then got pulled over by a local police department. They let me go home... luckily. Not the most crazy though. Far from it.

That's rugged bro. I would recommend not taking these things up to rally car limits, bear in mind rally drivers are some of the best trained in the world, and albeit their cars say subaru on them, the engine alone costs more than our wrx's do. That being said, glad to hear you are ok, and your car is fixed. Hopefully you still tapped that.

Yes I have learned not to drive like a rally driver just bc my car says subaru lol, I in the totalled 2010 AND in the rolled over 2011 I did not get a SINGLE cut or drop of blood, I guess I have a guardian angel....and yes I tapped it even after rolling my car with her in it on a FIRST date which we met on facebook of all things (yes I rolled my 2011 with her as the passenger literally the FIRST time I ever saw her in person), AND her dad owns a collision repair shop and was VERY kind on getting me parts and not blowing my head off with a shotgun for endangering his daughter...irony huh
