As some of you may know a year and a half ago i was diagnosed with a brain tumor (prolactanoma). the bills that came after that pretty much ruined me financially for awhile. sold all the toys and moved back home with my dad. thankfully after a year or so all is well. i just take a pill for the rest of my life. anyway i bought a red 04 srt-4 about 6-8 months ago with a blown engine for a good deal. had lots of modified parts and the price was right. finally in the last 4 weekends or so a bunch of very nice friends helped me get this thing back together. enjoy a few random pics of the rebuild and thank you to all those members on this forum who showed concerned and kindness to me.
Empty bay. it looked like that for months
After the last owner "modified" the cowl to included a 1 inch hole, i repaired it. thankfully my lack of ability in this patch panel (my first) is very hard to see.
Short block. JE pistons .40 over on eagle rods and a polished stock crank.
Stock rebuild head with stock cam and just a basic valve job.
Long block on the stand ready to go. equipped with a borg warner s256
Watch your fingers and toes!
GOAL!
First fill up with about 10 miles on the new motor car hasn't seen daylight in almost a year. notice the inch of dust!
Make me run, was there for as long as there was enough dust to write it. i was quite proud to check it off!

It's not a Subaru but I still have respect for anybody that tunes cars, especially when you don't rice them out!
