2011 Wrx vs 2009 altima 3.5se?

I have a friend with an altima. Talks a lot of **** about it. Both vehicles are stock. We both know I'll kill him off the line. Where he's positive he'll beat ne from a rolling start, say about 50 km/hr. I'm still breaking my car in and don't want to rev over 4k rpm yet so we haven't raced. Anyone have any ideas on how it would turn out?

It should be pretty similar. Both cars trap around 100 mph stock

Both stock and all things equal, the Altima will be faster from a rolling start, the WRX will be faster from a standstill. The Altima is a pretty fast car for what it is.

Trap speeds are a good indication of outright acceleration. I think they would be pretty equal even from a rolling start.

Despite what the stats may say, my roommate has a 5-speed 3.5 SE (it's a 2004 I believe) and the butt dyno says it's not as fast as the WRX. His butt dyno agrees. Nissan rates the 2009 with 10 more hp than the 2004 and I don't think that would make a huge difference. Anyway, go find out! That's the best way to answer the question. If somehow he's faster, just race him from a dig.. or around a corner.

tell him youll agree to a roll race, after a dig, that way he can understand the limits of FWD vehicles with good power....
