beat my fellow coworkers in an older 5.0 mustang and a lancer evo beat the mustang by atleast 3 or 4 lengths and beat the lancer by a length

I'm not looking to debate just be clear. I'm sensing you mean 2700lb is the winner but yeah think again. What's your best 0-60 time? Not under 4 seconds that's for sure. You can't put that power to the ground. I struggle to put my HP to the ground with the most advanced AWD system on the planet, and 305 sticky rear tires to boot. Sorry, but the Neon loses by a landslide, and we're not even talking when we get to corners. It'll be easy for me to do 30+ mph faster without even trying.![]()

Your right in alot of things. On street tires from a stop its no contest. Anything under 70mph the power is to much. After that though it would depend on how much road there is to catch up. If your talking racing legally at the strip where the neon can do 1.7 60ft times on slicks it wouldn't be a contest. 10.5 @ 135mph is a easy to do on race fuel. There is a 8 second street legal srt4 if you look it up on youtube. But the car is fast at one thing and is horrible at turning stoping and being comfy.

But seriously folks...
The comparison aspect of it has just kinda gone away. I still love performance cars, but it's all about my enjoyment of cornering and a responsive engine. If someone else has a 4000hp Porsche 911 Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, hey, bully for them.

I didn’t think they were going to try anything, but then the driver started looking at me and back and forth to his buddy. I decided to let him jump the line to see what he wanted to do....and he did soI dropped the clutch and smashed the gas, blew off at his driver window into second and walked away from him. After I stopped at the next light, he wouldn’t come within 3 cars from me.
It put a smile on my face.

Sorry but the only thing a stock bugeye can walk away from is a Prius. A Camaro SS would smash your bugeye even from a standstill if the driver knew WTF he was doing...
Oh, and I forsee you on the technical forums in a few weeks crying about a shredded transmission.

I only do this at 1/3 throttle or so. I let them edge ahead and let off at about 50-55. They always have this huge smile on their faces at the next light. It's even better when I do it with my bike. I'll take off and mash it in first up until about 30 or so and taper off the throttle. I tuck down to the tank, twist my right wrist like I'm on the throttle and glance over at them when they go by. It really makes them feel better. Then they run home and post on their forums that they destroyed the bike that runs 10's on the 1/4.![]()
