I find it hard to believe that everyone that talks negatively about street racing has never raced in there entire driving career!!

I would argue that humanity creating tools of it's own demise is actually a part of evolution being in action, but that's just my opinion.
I still don't see how people can justify having to defend their honor, or ego as the case actually is, simply because some asshat in another car is acting like a...well, asshat. People, it isn't that ****ing hard to save it for the track. It isn't that ****ing hard to act your age and be mature about things. Save your fun for the weekend where things are actually designed with your safety, as well as others, in mind. I applaud this forum for becoming increasingly intolerant of street racing.
Remember, you pay to play, and not all payment is in the form of money. Keep it safe. Please.

I race at the track. Gas is too expensive to waste racing around town and because some punk in a '92 Escort GT with a fart can tries to goad me into racing. Gas here is like 3.70 a gallon so it's about a 45$ fill up from a quarter tank for me. True story this kid with a douchebag pencil thin beard and a backwards ball cap tried to race me and my buddy. Downshifting, flipping us off, yelling obscenities...I really don't understand some people. Not to say I don't enjoy a good throttle romping so I can hear my EWG openTickets are too expensive to risk and I enjoy driving too much to lose my license because I decided it was a good idea to do 140mph through a school zone in reverse while blasting chumbawumba's tub thumper because I wanted to show that Honduh with his VTAK who is boss...

Resident Clubdub Debbie Downer. I'd love your ideas if you kept them to yourself. Subarus suck, get a new wife.
besides track days at beaver run theres not much else around western pa. being 26 i am aware that it is dangerous. i dont think thats the debate, i just want me or anyone else who posts a story to not get flamed to death
If you want to brag about being an *******, don't get upset about people calling you an *******.
If you wanted to race because you enjoy it, you would find your fix somewhere other than the road. Your motives are immature and you will always be called out for it.
How many people here post stories about cars they killed at the track? Very few. They race for themselves, not to seek approval. Once idiot street racers learn they won't get that approval, the trend will slowly die off.
the trend wont die just this section of the forum

Good news, everyone!
It is fizzling out. Street racing had a huge surge circa 1999 - 2001. A good portion of that was fueled by the huge internet forum surge of the same period. The forums have matured, and so have the teenagers from that period. Those teenagers are now running the forums, have realized the dangers, and are putting a stop to it.
We are headed for another performance car downturn just like the early 70's. Just wait and watch the companies slowly change their priorities from performance vehicles to economical vehicles. With the way things are going, it's inevitable.
whether its talked about or not doesnt matter its just people controlling the forum and deciding for everyone else.the moderaters and the whiners need to get another hobby besides flaming unless thats the real point of this forum just to flame peolple u dont agree with.
Wow dude, you really need to grow up. The moderators and the admins make these choices for the betterment of the community as well as to protect the site itself. Whether you agree or disagree is not an issue, it is not up to you how the site is controlled and what is or is not allowed. If you don't like it, it's your choice to not use the site.
