    dude!

Ok no flaming or anything like that, i'm honestly making this thread cuz im pissed.

Yes my screen name is HONDA, but i traded in my honda for a 2010 wrx not long ago, and i was in love. Torque and boost was something i wasn't used to coming from hondas.

my wrx is bone stock has 8 k miles on it now and i coudln't complain about one thing (other than the rattles) until last night.

me and my buddy were leaving campus to go get some wendys, we decided to take separate cars to have some fun (it was 1 am no traffic, and were in bumble**** wisconsin lol.

He drives a 2009 civic si with hondata/cai/header and hes tuned.

so as were curising at about 45 mph, i put it in second, so does he, we do the ol ricer 3 honks and were off. He gets ahead by a little while i spooled, and then i caught back up to him, and i could not pass him up for the life of me, we stayed neck and neck until about 110, where we both stopped.

I could not believe it, i figured there was no way in hell he would win. i was almost positive i was gonna take the lead,

we did the same race twice and same outcome. we tried a 25 roll, where i pulled ahead until about 60ish, and then i stopped pulling! (he blamed this on him having no traction, but i didn't hear any wheelspin comin from him).

Yes i know how to drive, he said he was slammin the hell out of his gears, full throttle shifting, i was slammin gears too, but definatly not full throttle shifting..

    WTFF!!!!

Your cars advantage is traction, if you take that out of the equation, I'm not surprised by the outcome. Thats why front wheel drivers always want to race from a roll

A Subaru's advantage is from 0-60mph not freeway blasting in 60-100mph land. For that you need a big MERC or Bimmer.

In Subi land, grip is your asset. Not surprised by your result, the boost from factory is pretty modest. Do a stage 2 tune with full exhaust and you'll be happier with the "roll on" result.

I have embarrassed several corvettes, mustangs, camaro's at the drag strip because of the subi's strengths (lots of traction). I put 4-6 car lengths on them in the first 60'-100', only to have the lead start to shrink at about the 1200' mark of the 'ol 1320 (aka 1/4 mile).

You should be happy, you bought a 2010 and it has a bigger turbo than mine. My buddy has a 2010 hatch and its considerably faster, and easier to drive, than mine was stock.

Not bad. A stock RSX-S is dead even with a stage 2 '02-'08 WRX from a roll.

SI's strength will also be top end when they can get into the high RPMs and open up that VTEC. The newer gen SIs aren't bad or that slow of cars, especially with some breathing mods and a Hondata tune.

As everyone else says, its legit...AWD is better from a Dig than FRUMAROLL.

i guess the wrx's torque just got me over confident, i know if he was stock id blow him away.

I got to drive his car today, and first thing i noticed was the torque was nothing compared to the wrx, but i gues its ok since he still gets like 25 mpg city lol. But as soon as i passed 6k, that thing pulled. i have no doubt in my mind that he would be able to pull on me if we did a 60 roll, it seems like the thing just keeps pulling till like 8500 or w.e his redline is.

Im not going to get a downpipe, i might just get accessport stage 1 and see how i do.

anyhow, ill race him in the rain and demolish himm

I disagree. My buddy's stock RSX-S was slightly slower than my 03 @ stage 1 from a roll. The Acura will trap around 94-95 MPH, similar to a stock 2.0L. I daresay the gearbox feels a hell of a lot nicer on the Acura, however.

    Folks,

We aren't going to humor threads that are explicitly about street racing stories in this forum any longer.

Please keep in mind that the moderators are the least of your worries when posting BS like this online whether you think you are anonymous or not.
