SRT4 vs 06 wrx

So my buddys srt4 has a tbe and a WOT box every thing else is stock. I have a tbe and AP stage 2. So from a 30 roll to about 100 he maybe got a fender on me. Shouldn't he of pulled on me more then that. We have done a few runs and every time the same. Shouldn't he be pulling on me more. He wont run me from a dig wonder y. I just though he would be faster than that. Is his car not running good or am i under estimating everything.

that sounds about right for a stage 2 wrx vs srt-4. I've seen other threads about close to the exact same race and the results were pretty similar. I know I'm not talking out of personal experience but thats what I've read at least

not to thread steal, but whats up with neon srt4 guys?

i used to drive a very loud toyota tacoma 4X4 6 spd manual w TRD headers, K&N CAI, straight pipe 4" flowmaster exhaust. i would get rolled on by srt4s at stoplights, and they would get all rev crazy, and they would always peel out as if they were trying to race me. i would just laugh, my truck did 0-60 in about a month! it was just really loud and nasty sounding, but not fast by any means.

now i drive a 2010 wrx, and SAME thing happens, except i have no problem keeping up with them now. i understand trying to roll on a wrx, but a toyota tacoma?

they are cool cars, but seriously, its just a neon.

every car group is going to have their *******s. mustangs drivers, evo drivers, sti drivers, m3 drivers, etc etc.

if they didnt have that shamu wing on the back, you couldnt tell the difference. its pretty easy to tell the diff between an impreza and a wrx

i'm not saying that you can/cannot tell the difference between the models. i'm just saying that your point isnt valid.. because at the end of the day they're driving neons.. we're driving impreza's & evo drivers are driving lancers. it's all the same crap

this is a never ending debate though. so lets leave it at that

I'm not gonna srt4 bash, but since were talking about base models... if I had a choice between a base neon/caliber or an impreza 2.5I of course I'm goin to choose the impreza... its an all around better IMHO as is the srt4 and wrx/sti... yes you can get a stupid amount of power out of the srt4 for cheap and a lot easier, but it just not my cup of tea...

So he was talking smack to me about winning by a fender. So I told him we sould go from a dig and this is what he said, I just don't think launches should determine a race. Because then even if both cars have the same power, you can't tell because all it takes is an uneven launch. I just told him if he had the subaru he wouldent look at it like that.

sounds like a normal out come given the mods. take it to the track where the srt can put on slicks and no more awd advantage. either way once he adds an adjustable waste gate he won't have to worry about your wrx any more, even from a stop. with a proper driver on street tires the srt should see low 13s at 110.
