quick question, what does a SS/TC cobalt mean?

Cobalt SS/TC FTW, sorry i had to say that, I come from the Ecotec community too, and yes those SS/TCs will spank a lot of WRXs and STIs, not the 09 and up STIs, but if the cobalt runs a trifecta tune or GM stage1 then they can certainly beat one...I love cobalts but i will admit they are crappy quality, well atleast my base model cobalt was

I personally haven't ran one but there is a guy on ls1tech who claims he has beaten multiple camaros and mustangs. I think I remember a thread where he claimed to have out twisty-ed an evo8 in some curvie roads. He also has some vids of him and a BMW 3 series goign at it and he beat the new 3 pretty good. From what I have read they aren't to hot from a dig but will rape from a roll.

Bad comparison but i did run one a while back. He took my stage 2 bugeye pretty easily but that was when i was driving with a completely dead fuel pump and i didnt launch at all. I have no doubt that with any sort of launch and my car back running right i could have easily taken the guy.
how much hp/tq did your bugeye have?
200 to the wheels on a dyno dynamics dyno. However at the time I was running on a pump that was so far gone that 3 days later the car wouldnt even start. So its hard to say what kind of hp i was actually putting down at the time.
o nice, nice sux about the pump though, idk you left me curious. i wanna see you race an SS/TC now lol
the ss/tc should almost catch the subby by the end of quarter depending on the launch. but from a roll it's still no contest. a stock ss/tc should trap 100-102mph while the bug eye is good for maybe 99-100?

He didn't wanna run from a dig so we did a 30 roll...
1st gear i was out about a bumper, 2nd gear we were even, going into 3rd he was ahead by half a car, half way through 3rd he had about a car and a half on me...
guess he put down 340whp with a trifecta tune, muffler delete, TBE, and K&N filter.
im just bullwinkle stage 2.
I had one mess with me a while back. I have no idea what it was packing but believe me, it sounded like it had the spirit of Napoleon. Were you at the track? If so, what did you run? 60ft and 1/4 mile times might be helpful for those of us who want to know our opponents better. May the car gods be with you next time.
Sounds about right to me. They make really good torque fast, and only weigh about 2700-2800lbs. Also FWD helps a bit from a roll. That 3-4 mph trap difference is pretty big on a 30-120 pull and starts adding up fast after 70-80mph. My friend has one, also has coolant leak problems and recently the fuel rails had to be replaced at only 30k miles so Im not sold on them, but they are a great value for performance.

Stage 2 maybe, but certainly not stock. Most stage II 2.0L are good for a 100-101 MPH trap.
