Anybody race a turbo cobalt?

You'll never meet a FWD vehicle on street tires that would want to race from a full stop. They know that your advantage is the AWD and that they'll have to be playing catch up the whole time.

yea im pretty sure any car can beat any car if given the right conditions...our advantage is being able to launch pretty well and the ability to drive quickly on loose surfaces. other cars have different advantages. i got destroyed by stock miatas and honda fits before because the course was as tight and technical as they come. they are the perfect cars for the environment.

he may have beat you as far as highway monster status but that just makes him a one trick pony....get him to race you in various conditions and see if he truly has a better "race" car.

Oh i know the new balt is a beast, i came from the ecotec family before i had my wrx... granted my ion redline was faster (From a roll) the wrx seems so much more usable in the low end.

having 260+whp i ran a best time and trap of 14.1 @ 103mph at 4900' altitude... i'm positive my wrx can beat that time, not the trap speed but definitely the ET.

I love AWD, and the fit and finish of this car is so much better than the ION could have ever dreamed to be.

dude, the GVW is the weight of the car plus the total amount of cargo it can carry. The curb weight of the WRX (weight of the unladen car + fluids) is around 3050 pounds.

Don't worry, your car doesn't weigh more than a BMW M5 lol
