haha, this is great.
This is a discussion on WRX vs World (caution, geeky graph) within the Comparison: WRX vs World forums, part of the Community - Meet other Enthusiasts category; Here's my highly non-scientific graph plotting 0-100 kph (same as 0-60 mph) versus car base price in Cdn $. I ...
Here's my highly non-scientific graph plotting 0-100 kph (same as 0-60 mph) versus car base price in Cdn $. I think there's some errors on it but it seems generally ok.
Turns out Price Cdn$ = 147119*exp(-0.234*(0-60 time (s)) is a reasonable guestimate for new car prices?
Anyway, the geek in me thought this was neat![]()
PS: The 1993 Geo Tracker with its unbridled 82 HP of raw fuel injected prowess is my current ride, but I'm in the process of upgrading to a WRX. This graph was part of my process and one of the many reasons that led me to a WRX.
Are we related?

That is pretty cool in a nerdy sort of way. It seems to be a decent fit too given the cars chosen. I'm guessing R^2 would be over .7 if you tossed out the truck

I assume the OP understands that 0-60 times for turbo-Subies aren't necessarily a decent basis for comparison, due to the hard AWD launch that the magazine drivers use.
Do a granny launch to protect your transmission, and you'll find yourself quickly shifting to the right along your x-axis.![]()

0 - 100 - 0 might be a better comparison...

It's all magazine racing, at the end of the day. These numbers have come to mean very little to me. See how well the GT-R did? I doubt I would want one..no true manual and too many computers usually sully the driving experience for me.
If I MUST look at a number to get a fair feel for actual acceleration, I like the quarter mile trap speed.
