A little background: Up here in Ontario, Canada we have this awesome new law where if you are caught going 50km/h over the speed limit you are charged with street racing, without a trial, and they take yr car and license for a week and top it off with a huge fine to get it back. Don't ask how such a law was passed, just know it was!
The Race: I was driving home from a friends place, it was snowing pretty good, nothing major though. I encoutered some people who didnt have AWD or snow tires and were driving very slowly, so naturally I passed 'em. While working on a line of 5 or 6 cars, I see those classic flashing lights illuminate behind me. I looked down at the speedo, 135km/h, in an 80km/h zone. I figure if this a--hole was going to charge me with street racing, then a race he would get! I blasted down the highway and piggy didnt back down, it was on! Those cop cars are a lot faster in a straight line than I gave them credit for... he was gaining on me. Once I turned onto a concession and started to accelerate again, I got ahead of him by a bit. He was starting to regain the ground he had lost when we hit the windy-twisty shore road. I know the road like the back of my hand and was just putting on a drifting clinic! It wasn't too long before I looked in the rear view saw some flashing lights dart across a corner and dissapear into a cloud of snow in the vicinity of the ditch. Chalk up another one for the good guys!

well, this thread is the very answer to that. lol

He's in Canada.... Insurance rates are not affected outside the country from what I have been told. Is that right ?
