It's funny, 16 cylinders, 4 turbos, all kinds of space technology, etc etc... and yet, the American built SSC Ultimate Aero beat the Veyron's top record with half of everything the Veyron needed. 2WD, two turbos, V8 (derived from a Corvette C5R)...
the goal was to build a dd that could do 250+ not just go 250+, one is pure race car, barley street-able and the other extreme luxury. they veyron also weighs over 4400lbs.

I wouldn't call 8 mpg (on a good day) "daily driver." Although I suppose if you already spent 1.5 mil on the car....

Yea, but who drives a Veyron as a daily driver? I mean seriously come on.

The SSC Ultimate Aero is street-able too, costs way less, and it's something I wouldn't mind having if I was a gazillionaire. Wouldn't spend money on a Veyron no way no sir.

My daily driver Ram gets 10 mpg and I'm hardly J.P. Gotrocks...

Gas mileage means nothing to the person who can drop the cash on the car to start with.

no sti for me haha, and don't want to spend that much looking for a car between 16-LOW 20s that'll offer much better torque than mine for city and town driving, aka zipping around downtown chicago on a saturday night, be decent in the snow because almost half the year here is cold, and make power to beat the average modded car. would like a car that could beat that damn gti still can't believe he beat me that bad haha. it HAS to be a hatch for reasons and i want some creature comforts aka heated seats, moonroof, a nicer looking interior. also, under 30k in mileage and still some warranty left over. don't care about gas family business pays for it.

haha, i still got energy, i'm just fearing the stiff leg deadlifts. OK EVERYONE, i sat in both and i'm sorry but screw the GTI....the new wrx has SUCH A NICE INTERIOR and the gti interior is WAY overrated and and i was cramped in it. just everything about the new wrx i absolutely freakin loved i just had one big smile on my face and it wasn't even the color or a hatchback. the interior was just so nice, revved so nice, torquey perfect everything i could want.

    How big are you?

You seem set on an 09 WRX. Good choice. I hope you enjoy high insurance premiums and a nearly $30k price tag before you drive off the dealer lot.

Still gonna test drive an SS, just so I'll shut up?
