    '10 WRX vs 300 SRT8?

    How would a stock '10 WRX fare against a Chrysler 300 SRT8? How about stage 1? I believe the SRT8 is stock, since I've beat him in the past with my old chipped Audi S4. He just happens to be the ****iest driver that I regularly encounter on my daily commute.

    Once he hooks up it's all over for you. He'll have a 5-6 mph trap advantage which no amount of driving can screw up since he's an auto. Between the inherent difficulty of launching that much torque and Dodge's torque management that holds much of it back until 2nd gear, you'll get him off the line.

    If I ever add a 3rd vehicle to my roster it'll be an SRT8, probably a Magnum since the wagon would be useful and quick at the same time.

    Just make sure you can see out of it first. my uncle's had 2, put the hood from the ram SRT on it, looks sick...but every window is a blind spot and im on the shorter side, and it was still difficult to see out of. FAST AS HELL tho he let me drive it (w/o him) and when he left later he called and asked about the 30ft black lines leaving my neighborhood

    Hm, I am not too convinced. Sure the 300C SRT 8 has 400+ hp, but is heavy as heck. Like I said, I beat him on a 320-ish hp chipped '01 S4. I owned him off the line; I could see him creeping up, but it would be instant-jail speeds before he caught up to me. Stage 1 on the '10 WRX shouldn't be that far.

    Yes the 300C SRT 8 is a 4500lbs car BUT its also about 1XXhp over the 2010 WRX - Stage 1 and all....

    Was the S4 320ish hp @ the wheels or crank?

    AWD > RWD/FWD

    6.1L > 2.5L

    That's the crank estimate from APR. Never had it dyno'd.

    Makes a BIG difference to know - 320chp; then that means @ the wheels you were seeing around 285ish whp. AWD will ALWAYS beat a FWD/RWD off the line...and depending on what turbo's you had (KA04 upgrades) its a no wonder he couldnt see you until the speeds risk jail.

    Sorry man but maybe you have no idea how much 1k lbs makes a huge difference. Me vs a 300 whp legacy both wrx swapped were dead even in any kind of race when I was on my td04. I'd say it was at least 50 whp more then mine. Me on the other hand was 500 lbs lighter. Now add 1k lbs? lol Obviously the powertrains are different so the srt8 is going to fair better from a roll but still 1k lbs is ridiculous. Just at the simple fact it has 400 hp and only runs low 13's. What do you think a 400 hp wrx or sti runs? high 11's?

    I rarely agree with 2.0rs, but I definitely do on this one.... I think that in a 0-60 race the wrx with an excellent driver would win. but I think in a quarter mile it'd take a stage 2 2009+ wrx to win. Obviously this guessing over the intrawebz doesn't do anything. Take him out to the local drag strip and see what you guys can do. A 1/8 mile you should win... a 1/4 mile you should lose
