    wrx vs lexus

ok so i pulled up to a light next to some kind of lexus....it was a newer model but im not sure of the exact model.
anyway the guy gave me a nod and when it hit green we took off.
i kno this is the excuse alot...haha but i really did get a bad start.
i probably launched around 2000 rpm. so he pulled bout half car length ahead of me. we stayed like that until i hit 80 and slowed down cause it was a public street.
but i think i couldbe had him getting a better start.
i didnt know lexuses were that fast. this one was quick

Based on your username, I'd say you have an 05 WRX.
Do you have mods and if so, what kind of drag or dyno numbers have you gotten.

Lexus IS350's are quick for stock cars, the IS250 are pretty slow.
Chances are the only Lexus owner/driver that would be willing to do a little run on the street would be a IS350 owner.

And if it was an IS350 the fact you held even with him after he got a 1/2+ CL jump, your car is modded decently for an 05 WRX.

If your car is stock you ran an IS250 (which are mostly driven by women).

    Wink

i just got the car recently and i havent had a chance to go to the track yet....plus i think the raceway by where i live is closed during the winter....anyway so i havent been able to se my drag times.
i could test them with my cobb port...but i just dont like doin 1/4 miles on a public road.

but the mods i have (not many yet)

    intake silence delete
    cobb stage 1
    invidia catback exhaust
    short shift

maybe it was a 350 i dont kno it was dark. but it was quick...and if the 250's are slow....i doubt it was a 250

    ....my cars not slow
