Thanks guys for all your help on this. I think I've made my decision on which car I want to get....2009 or 2010 WRX. Now it's either the hatch or the sedan? Decisions Decisions
Well that's an easy decision, especially since you have kids...hatch all the way.

    hatch > sedan. hands down.

my only gripe is the taillights but that's nothing some red overlay can't fix.

Yup, I took care of that in the first month of ownership of the hatch myself.

I too think i'll be having this "problem" in a year or so.

    I'm 20,turning 21 soon and have been researching between the 04-07 sti's and the 09-10 wrx's.

I think the 09/10 would suit your needs quite well. One can be easily found brand new for the same price as an unmolested STi,and you'll have a warranty. You can easily make enough power to outrun an STi in a straight line and with some light suspension mods be close to it through the corners.

I think it would suit your needs perfectly.I myself would go with the 09.I don't plan on running it all out every weekend but would like to have something i can play with from time to time and still drive it daily.

    Whatever your choice..good luck.

I really like the hatch with red tails done to it...but on the other hand the sedans have really grown on me too! lol

I think that the 2009 WRX would be a good fit for you, especially if you get a hatchback. It's safe, has AWD, and a lot of room for the family, but at the same time its a fun car and there is a lot of opportunity to make it faster if you want to. It will also come with a warranty which is good for peace of mind. In my opinion finding a clean STI can be tough, just because its an enthusiasts car and most people that buy them, probably mod them and run them pretty hard. Nobody buys an STI to just cruise around in.

It's a very nice blue. 99 rally blue pearl was even better. Love it. There's a reason why i didn't get it though, because even though there was everyone wanted that blue. Figured I'd be different so I got black.

Yeah, it gets even worse when it's 10 years old. Gotta keep on it and it'll stay looking great. Probably gonna change the color in a couple years. It'll probably be the hardest choice in my life.

Yeah the blue is nice, but I think I like the dark gray/silver. There aren't many gray wrxs out here in Southern Cali.
