I suppose it depends on what he wants. I'll be this setup has insta-spool.

My "StageII tune" (on Monday, he tweaked one of his StageII maps a bit and did one or two logs to make sure there wasn't any knock and called it a day) readings there were 228whp/25Xwtq

Yep, 20G+meth is next year. I could go larger, but I don't think I need 30R+ power (and honestly, I'm not sure if I'd even want it).

I weighed the option of buying the turbo now or waiting a year. I could've afforded the whole turbo swap, but if something were to happen, I wouldn't be able to afford to rebuild right away. I bought a bunch of the supporting mods this year, as well as the remaining suspension/drivetrain mods I wanted.

The car is a lot of fun where it's at now, but it's definitely not enough.

OT: looking at your numbers just made me realize how extremely overcompensating dynojet dyno's are. i only made 10 hp & 20tq less than you on my stage2 wrx when i dyno'd on one. lol

Congrats Matt! That's awesome. I'm sure she's a whole new beast. Now you're even closer to my current set up numbers. Until I get a FMIC & EWG.

Let me know when you're passing through town.

You see how hp is pretty flat > 5500? That's why (and what Paul said) - look at other StageII graphs in that range, and you'll see hp tapering off there.

i just talked to my tuner and he was telling me its overkill on the stock turbo and it has to be wielded shut. But i wouldn't want it to my hp to be flat at 5500 either so i'll probably do it anyway.

It does not have to get welded shut. The Grimmspeed EWG setup I got includes a bracket to hold it shut, which is completely reversible.
