do i have an 08 or 09 WRX?

hi guys, i just recently got a 2009 (apparently) subaru wrx. the only thing i am confused about is....the interior doesnt look like a 2009 model.....it doesnt have that RED stitching on seats and the chrome pedals etc but everything else is the same. Can the 2009 WRX come with a 224HP engine? or are all 2009's the 265HP?

I KNOW I SOUND DUMB....when i got the car the keychain said "2009" on it but the interior is throwing me off. Anything i can do besides go to dealer to check ?

thats the thing im asking bro. its manual transmission....im just not sure if its 224HP or 265HP? i leased the vehicle like 1 month ago and the keychain said "2009" on it but the interior looks like an 2008 cuz it has no RED stitching or the chrome pedals. could this be that i have the "base" model as opposed to the "premium"?

Weird man. Does the Grille say Wrx on it???

yes sir it says WRX on front grill. lool its just strange. also i looked at interior of 08 and its hazard light button is BLACK but he 09 has a RED one and so does mine. lol it feels like a mix of everything lool. maybe ill just ask tomorrow. do you know if the 2009 comes with an option to get the 224HP engine or not?

you can get a 2009 wrx GT which come with 224hp. only comes in automatic though.

are your wheels silver or dark grey?

i think thats just called 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5GT bro. and my grill says WRX on it. and mine is manual. hmm....oh well lol. thanks anyways homies

You're in the US right? as far as I know.. The only Wrx with 224 hp in 09' is the Automatic transmission model (In the US).

What does the vehicle registration say? Something doesn't add up. Post your VIN#.

Couldn't you get the 09 WRX in auto? I know the 09 Impreza GT was basically the 08 WRX and was only available in auto. Was the 09 WRX only available in the 5spd manual?

i think wrxtreme06 is right. it must be the 2009 subaru wrx GT. my rims are silverish.

The GT only came in auto though. It wasn't available in manual. Both rims for both yrs were silverish. 08 was a lighter silver and the 09 was a lot darker, close to a gunmetal.
