So I was MMOB taking a little scenic tour of Mogadishu when I happened to come up behind a nice 37s (not sure what the "s" stands for, sport?).
We both turned on the Mog airfield runway and tried a little pass at about 65mph. As soon as I moved over he punched it. I kept it in 5th because 1) I figured I would maxed out the revs by then and 2) my clutch is on it's next to last leg.
But, I instantly stopped his pull and was slowly gaining on him. I was side by side and inching up to his front tire, so at least he knew this little Subie wasn't going anywhere.
I contemplated downshifting and throwing caution to the wind, when all of the sudden I noticed a Technical had pulled out on the runway in front of me and I had to disengage...
I got the last laugh though, because I notice he got pulled over at the end of the runway by a bunch of 12yr-olds with AKs and kidnapped. Last I saw, they were mounting a rusty .50cal MG to the roof of the Infiniti.
Oh well, that's life in the Mog...

i completely roasted on the freeway about a month ago. Slammed with exhaust and bright ass HIDs.
My little suby took off on him like he was standing still.
At the end of it, he ended up being pulled over by cops![]()

Never go WOT in a high gear. Always downshift to the lowest available.
Higher gears put more stress on the engine (particularly bearings) and your clutch so you did yourself no favor there.

Having driven both a 06 WRX, 07 STI and 09 G37X I would put the G over top of the WRX and probably just a shy under a GOOD launch in the STI. Top end in both cases the G felt faster. The difference is not every launch in the STI or WRX is going to be a nail in the seat feel as tempture and ability plays a role. In the G you just tap over to manual and hammer down.
0-60 faster then your first sexual experience.

I would rather have a 350Z over a G37; cheaper and BETTER.
G37 is just for looks IMO. (for that price)![]()

If you search for g37 reviews, you will find that the g37's suspension is NOT soft at all. It has a very stiff suspension that makes it a little uncomfortable for those looking for the luxury.
Oh yes, also the g37 comes with brembo performance brakes, hinting at the attempt to make it somewhat a "track" car.

drove a new g37 a few days ago. while mine was in for service. hated the 7spd auto. anyway its squishy and soft much more so than my g35. those yuppies are used to there no where near track oriented 3 series (m excluded). and yes you can get a track package. but car is still a gt car. leather, nav, moonroof, back seats. heated cooled seat. etc. the z is much lighter for that reason and much more track ready. but to say its not a good car because of that is a poor judgment.
